Proxy Toggle I find myself constantly switching between between using the RPA and bypassing it. This always takes 7 mouse clicks to accomplish. One day I said to myself, "Self, there's got to be a faster way...!" Voila, you now have Proxy Toggle. This program installs itself onto the toolbar in IE with a small icon that looks like this;
Once installed a single mouse click is all it takes to go from "Proxy ON" to "Proxy Off". When you click the button you'll see a small window flash in the middle of your screen signaling your current mode.
This should stay up for about 1 to 2 seconds and then disappear. Now, some of you may be wondering, "Why would I want this???". Well for me the reason is simple. I've found that there are certain sites and also areas within those sites that are blistering fast by NOT proxying through the RPA. A perfect example is the forums located here on Starbandusers.com. By turning off the proxy, I can click on a thread and the entire thread be loaded within 2-4 seconds. I've found this little jewel to be an invaluable tool and I hope you do also.
